Product Description

The Smackdown is a muzzleloading sabot that has a steel hollow base and a lead core for extra long wear and penetration. The copper hollow base provides extra stopping power and the lead core allows the bullet to penetrate better than most sabots that use steel balls. The brass tang prevents premature denting and bending and the copper clad steel case and sabot are impregnated with smokeless powder so there is no smoke when the bullet leaves the barrel. The soft lead core and smooth ogive with a pointed tip provides a mushroom effect as the bullet travels through the bore. This allows the bullet to penetrate deeper into the target than with a round ball without creating any muzzle turbulence issues.
